Job summary

Mountain View Landscapes is seeking an Experienced Fertilization Technician with a CT Pesticide Commercial Supervisory License (3A Ornamental and Turf). The role requires 1–3 years of turf experience and a valid license, plus a clean driving record.

Mountain View Landscapes has opening for an Experienced Fertilization Technician with a CT Pesticide Commercial Supervisory License. 3A Ornamental and Turf required.
$1,000 Signing Bonus with a minimum of 1-3 years previous experience in the application of pesticides on turf.
The Fertilization Technician will have excellent experience in all aspects of commercial lawncare, and knowledge of insecticides, fertilizers, fungicides. Additional skills of mowing, plantings, pruning, trimming, etc. a plus! Possess strong leadership skills, be energetic, detail orientated & a team player. Ensure efficient and high-quality execution of turf and landscape care.

Fertilization Technician Requirements

• Required - Valid, Unexpired CT Pesticide Commercial Supervisory License. 3A Ornamental and Turf. MA Applicator's a plus.
• Required - Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for a minimum of the past 3 years and reliable transportation.
• Required - Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, including Marijuana to obtain DOT Medical Certification.
• 1-3 years of commercial lawn care experience.
• Knowledge of insecticides, fertilizers, fungicides, and the ability to apply them at the properly calibrated rate. Willing to train the right candidate with a pesticide license.
• Ability to diagnose insects and disease in turf and landscape.
• The physical ability to lift 75-100 pounds frequently and work outdoors in various climate elements.
• Ability to work independently, and within a team environment, accept new challenges, multi-task and prioritize.

Fertilization Technician Responsibilities:

• Keep track of records for all fert/spray accounts.
• Able to properly mix chemicals to correct ratios.
• Keep all application equipment clean, maintained and organized.
• Keep all customer records in an organized and orderly fashion.
• Stay up on the current inventory of material and be able to project when additional material will be needed.
• Report to supervisor on the overall appearance of customer's property.
• Winter work which may include but is not limited to snowplowing, salting, shoveling, and working in the shop.

Compensation

Hourly Rates are experienced based:

Crew Member/Leader - $25.00 - $35.00 ( rate is based on having CT Pesticide Commercial Supervisory License. 3A Ornamental and Turf )
