Job summary

Deans Services in Augusta, ME is seeking a lawn care technician to service properties on an assigned route using hand and powered equipment to apply fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides and herbicides for pest and weed control in lawns and ornamentals.

Starting wage is based on experience, with $20.00–$22.00/hr and up to $27/hr for experienced technicians; benefits include health care, 401K, holidays, PTO, paid training from day one, and advancement opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver's license and have a history of safe driving.
• At least 21 years old or older (requirement to drive a company vehicle).
• Committed to safety and use of all the proper PPE the job requires.
• Friendly and dedicated to great customer service.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently and as part of a crew.
• Encourage a positive team atmosphere & willingness to help others.

Responsibilities

• Provide lawn care services to properties on the assigned route using hand and powered equipment, applying fertilizer, insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides for pest and weed control in lawn and ornamentals.
• Unload and load equipment at each property, remove loose trash and debris from landscape area prior to servicing area.
• Comply with all state and federal regulations, and company policies, procedures, and guidelines including local ordinances. Keep scheduled appointments with customers, as applicable.
• Interact and ask questions of clients if they are present when the job is completed, to determine client concerns and existing conditions. Sell additional services to existing and prospective clients.
• Perform thorough inspection and evaluation of client properties.
