Job summary

American University is seeking part-time proctors to administer examinations for Washington College of Law students at the Tenley Campus. Proctors will ensure exam room order, collect test papers, and interact with students during exams.

The role is limited to enrolled American University students and hours peak during mid-terms and finals, up to 20 hours weekly. Training and a supportive team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Current graduate student at American University. Due to nature of the position, current law students are not eligible.
• Comfortable reading and speaking in front of groups with a clear and articulate voice.
• Ability and willingness to take and follow instructions.
• Ability to collaborate with others in a professional and courteous manner.
• Willingness to work in a room alone and/or collaboratively with other proctors and staff.
• Punctuality, flexibility, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Law students by administering examinations.
• Work in person at the Tenley Campus during mid-term and exam periods each semester.
• Other duties as assigned.
