Job summary

The University of Akron seeks an experienced educator to teach relevant law courses and lead academic success programs for law students across all years. You will counsel students, deliver workshops, and drive skills-based teaching with a focus on diverse learning needs, writing, and analytical skills.

You will design early interventions, supervise ASP fellows, and coordinate with the Director of Bar Success to align academic skills with bar readiness efforts.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in academic success or bar preparation.
• Strong computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing and database capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach academic success courses and workshops.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive academic success program for law students.
• Provide individualized academic counseling and coaching to students at risk.
• Supervise and train ASP fellows and peer tutors.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate academic skills into the curriculum.
• Track student performance and report trends to administration.
