American University Washington College of Law seeks a Legal Education Advisor to promote academic excellence for students from matriculation through graduation. The LEA provides individualized advising on academic progress, identifies resources for success, and supports students with Academic Alert status through meetings and workshops.

Qualifications

• Advise law students on academic progress and resources.
• Provide strategic counseling for academic skills and bar exam readiness.
• Deliver workshops and collaborate with faculty, student groups, offices, and programs.
• Support students with Academic Alert processes and feedback.

Responsabilités

• Academic Development: advise on best practices for academic and professional success; develop recovery plans and study timelines.
• Bar Advising: guide bar exam planning, requirements, format, and jurisdiction choices.
• Programming/Instruction: develop workshops to boost academic and exam readiness.
• Professional Development: engage with professional organizations related to law school success.
• Other Tasks: assist the Assistant Dean and team with outreach and engagement.
