The Boston College Law Library seeks a Legal Information Librarian to join the Teaching & Research team. The role focuses on delivering research instruction and providing reference support to BC Law students, faculty, and staff.
The position supports scholarship and classroom teaching, participates in curriculum development, and contributes to outreach and service enhancements. A collaborative, service-oriented approach is essential.
Qualifications
- J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and MLS from ALA-accredited institution.
- Experience conducting legal research and providing reference support.
- Interest in curriculum development, teaching, and assessment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver legal research instruction to law students through for-credit courses, guest lectures, and online resources.
- Provide research and reference support to the BC Law School community.
- Serve as liaison to assigned faculty members for scholarship and teaching.
- Contribute to developing new library services and programs.
- Participate in outreach activities promoting engagement within the law school.
- Identify and evaluate new resources through collection development.
- Serve on library, law school, and other professional committees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
