Job summary

The role covers reference shifts, instruction of the for-credit Legal Research Methodologies course, and management of law research platforms such as Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberg Law. You will mentor Library Fellows and RA’s and assist with collections. The position includes teaching duties, curriculum development, and participation in professional service activities

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Willingness to obtain an MLS or related degree within seven years.
  • No specific certification is required for this position.
  • No specific work experience required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive legal and bibliographic research for law faculty and users.
  • Teach legal research methodologies for credit in the JD program and develop curriculum.
  • Create and maintain online research guides.
  • Coordinate with Law Library staff on research requests and workflow.
  • Participate in budget, planning, and collection development activities.
  • Oversee access to law databases and assist with staff interviews.
