Job summary

The University of Oregon Libraries seeks an Emerging Technology and Student Outreach Librarian in Eugene to lead efforts to promote digital information literacy by integrating current and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and data analytics, into teaching and research.

The role will create a curriculum that educates students about these technologies and their impact on the practice of law.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library/Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited program or equivalent graduate law degree.
• Six years post-MLIS experience in an academic law library (for Associate rank).

Responsibilities

• Promote digital information literacy by integrating emerging technologies into teaching and research.
• Coordinate student outreach activities and liaise with student-run law journals and other law student organizations.
• Provide extensive reference and instructional services for both faculty and students, including research consultations and teaching of legal research skills.
