Job summary

The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, operating under the Office of the Attorney General, seeks a Training LET Coordinator in Pierre. This full-time role coordinates law enforcement training, recruits instructors, develops schedules, and ensures classroom readiness for programs.

Responsibilities include managing resources, maintaining records, delivering basic and advanced instruction, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• The incumbent will have knowledge of basic law enforcement operations.
• Adult learning techniques, principles and methods are required.
• Familiarity with arrest and control tactic techniques and use of force laws.
• Proficiency with training materials and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate basic and advanced law enforcement training courses.
• Recruit instructors (adjunct, vendor or contractor).
• Develop training schedules and provide course materials.
• Ensure classroom and range readiness and supervise student/instructor behavior.
• Maintain course and student records and establish rapport with SD law enforcement.
