Qualifications

Associate degree required.
Current NC General Instructor certification required.
Ten years sworn law enforcement experience.
Five years of documented instruction of BLET courses.

Responsibilities

T teaches criminal justice and public safety training programs compliant with state standards.
Delivers classroom, laboratory, and scenario-based instruction.
Prepares lesson plans, examinations, and assessments.
Maintains attendance, grading, and training records.
Advises and mentors students on education and career goals.
Maintains instructor certifications and credentials.
Stays current on law enforcement practices and adult learning methodologies.
Identifies students needing academic intervention and supports them.
Assists with planning, scheduling, and evaluating programs.
Develops administrative processes to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Represents the college at community events and public safety partnerships.
