Job summary

P4 Security is actively seeking active or retired law enforcement professionals for flexible security roles across the Western Suburbs and surrounding areas. Earn $40 per hour and above while applying your training to ensure safety and security in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Criminal background check and drug screen.
• Valid PERC from IDFPR.
• VE-PEC for active officers; comply with policy and Illinois law.
• PERC and FCC for retired officers; IROCC certification with annual firearm qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible security presence at posts (gatehouses, lobbies, front desks).
• Conduct regular patrols at commercial, residential, and campus sites.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and safety threats.
• Deliver professional customer service to residents, tenants, employees, students, and guests.
• Enforce site-specific security policies including access control and visitor management.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies and escalate as needed.
• Complete DARs and incident documentation of incidents, hazards, trespassers, or property damage.
• Maintain communication with site supervisors and emergency responders.
