Job summary

P4 Security is actively hiring active or retired law enforcement professionals to provide security services for North Shore communities, businesses, residential areas, and campuses. Earn $50 per hour and above while applying your training to ensure safety in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, successful background check and drug screen. Active officers must have VE-PEC; retirees must meet IDFPR requirements and possess PERC/FCC where armed.

Qualifications

• Criminal Background Check and Drug Screen required.
• Active law enforcement officers must have VE-PEC and comply with IDFPR rules.
• Retired officers must have PERC and, if armed, FCC and IROCC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and vigilant security presence at static posts such as gatehouses, lobbies, front desks, and building access points.
• Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of various North Shore locations including offices and residential communities and campuses.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, safety concerns, and potential threats to persons or property.
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service to residents, tenants, employees, students, and guests.
• Enforce site-specific security policies, including access control and visitor management.
• Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergency situations and escalate appropriately.
• Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident documentation, including unusual activity, safety hazards, trespassers, unauthorized access, and property damage.
• Maintain clear communication with site supervisors, law enforcement, and emergency responders when needed.
