Job summary

Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of In-Service Manager. This role oversees in-service and mandated continuing education training for local and state law enforcement officers via Mobile Team Units (MTUs) and develops training policies and improvements.

The ideal candidate has experience within law enforcement training guidelines, ensures program needs are identified, and handles budget preparation.

Qualifications

Requires a four-year college degree with courses in criminal justice, criminology, police science, law enforcement, legal studies, and/or law.
Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in the delivery of law enforcement and/or correctional officer training.

Responsibilities

Manages in-service and mandated continuing education training for local and state law enforcement officers through Mobile Team Units (MTUs).
Plans and develops new, revised, and existing training program policies and improvements.
Supervises staff and serves on committees related to training programs.
