Job summary

SGI Global is seeking Physical Fitness and/or Defensive Tactics Instructors for the United States Capitol Police (USCP). The instructors will provide entry-level and inservice training to sworn, civilian staff and leadership across the department, tailoring instruction to current laws, policies, and procedures.

The role involves preparing materials, delivering courses, evaluating participants, and updating content in line with evolving law enforcement practices.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the FLETC LEFCTP and/or LECTITP or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years managing a fitness or wellness program or defensive tactics for law enforcement.
• Knowledge across physical fitness, nutrition, training progressions and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver course materials including content, sequence, timing and instructional methodology.
• Rate and score students and determine qualification outcomes meeting departmental standards.
• Analyze training policies and recommend revisions based on research and policy changes.
• Develop lesson plans, evaluations and management recommendations with accuracy.
• Adjust plans to changes in law enforcement procedures and equipment as approved.
• Evaluate student progress through testing and observation.
