Job summary

Fulton County Police Department seeks a detail-oriented clerk to manage inmate intake, fingerprinting, and record updates in GCIC/NCIC databases. Responsibilities include processing jail admissions, updating dispositions and warrants, and handling routine inquiries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; supplemented by one year of clerical or customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• May be required to pass a typing test as a condition of employment; if applicable, must type a minimum of 40 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Process inmates into jail booking and fingerprinting, update inmate records with court dispositions and warrants.
• Disseminate GCIC/NCIC data to other law enforcement agencies via GCIC/NCIC terminals.
• Prepare calendars for court appearances and transportation; respond to routine inquiries and complaints.
• Enter and verify GCIC/NCIC/Warrant data in Odyssey; monitor terminals; perform data entry and record-keeping.
