Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Deputy Sheriff Cadet who will enter an Academy to gain the skills needed for sworn duties, including investigation, civil process, and patrol tasks. Training aligns with POST standards and SB 960 requirements.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and college units, with possible substitution by military service or prior peace officer experience. A path to join the Deputy Sheriff ranks is provided.

Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
No felony convictions and pass background checks.
Pass medical examination and maintain fitness standards.
Possess a valid California driver's license prior to appointment.

Mansioni

Attend Academy training classes for law enforcement.
Partake in basic and hands-on training including weapons, tactics, patrol procedures, and arrest techniques.
Participate in defensive tactics training and physical conditioning.
Possibility of assignment as Disaster Service Worker (DSW).
Perform other related duties as required.
