Job summary

Boston University School of Law seeks a Visiting Lecturer & Clinical Instructor to join the BU/MIT Student Innovations Law Clinic (SILC), a collaboration between BU Law and MIT. The role focuses on IP, privacy, cybersecurity, and related health and platform liability issues, teaching and supervising students in direct client representation.

The position is a one-to-two-year term, non-renewable, with a start around August 31, 2026.

Qualifications

• Active member of a state bar with expertise in a relevant area of law.
• Experience with clinical pedagogy, teaching, and supervision of students or junior attorneys.
• Experience representing students, startups, academics, nonprofits, or technology-focused clients.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Clinic's Intellectual Property Practice Group or Privacy, Health, and Media Practice Group.
• Supervise law students engaged in direct representation of clients.
• Contribute to administration of the Clinic's law practice.
