Job summary

Boston University School of Law seeks a Clinical Associate Professor of Law and founding Director of the BU Law Tax Clinic. This non-tenure track role starts July 1, 2027 and will open the clinic for enrollment in Fall 2028.

The Director will design the clinic’s structure, teach seminars and fieldwork, supervise students, and coordinate with law school leadership to integrate the clinic into BU Law’s curriculum.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tax or clinical legal education is desirable.
• Strong research and writing skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the scope and design the structure and curriculum of the tax clinic.
• Teach seminar and fieldwork components; run a VITA site.
• Recruit and hire part-time faculty; supervise students.
• Coordinate with Associate Dean for Experiential Education and Registrar’s Office to publish the curriculum.
