Qualifications

  • Requires a law degree or current attendance at ABA-accredited law school with at least two years of study.
  • 2+ years of progressively responsible experience on litigation support projects.
  • Sound knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research procedures.
  • Familiar with Lexis and Westlaw.
  • Hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
  • Experience with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex legal research under supervisory guidance.
  • Prepares draft legal documents like motions, briefs, and memoranda.
  • Reviews documents for relevance and privilege.
  • Assists attorneys through all phases of litigation.
  • Acts independently or as a team leader on larger projects.
  • Interfaces with trial attorneys, experts, and client staff as needed.
