Job summary

Government Services, LLC seeks a Law Clerk I to perform advanced legal research and assist attorneys in all phases of litigation. The role supports trial staff by drafting motions, briefs and memoranda of law, while conducting research on release of information and reviewing case law.

The candidate must have a JD or be a law student with at least one year of study, and possess strong familiarity with federal/state courts, legal research tools, and Bluebook citation.

Qualifications

• Requires JD or current ABA‑accredited law student with at least one year of study.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research resources.
• Extensive experience with cite checking and Bluebook formatting.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex legal research for trial staff.
• Assist in drafting motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
• Review and research ROI (Release of Information) materials.
• Cite check via Westlaw/ Lexis and ensure Bluebook accuracy.
• Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.
