Qualifications

• JD required or in process of taking Wisconsin Bar exam.
• Ability to perform legal research and write clear briefs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft summons/complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings.
• Conduct legal research to support litigation.
• Prepare briefs and other court submissions.
• Screen potential clients for suitability and case viability.
• Assist with trial preparation and case management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a litigator.

Hupy and Abraham S.C., an AV-rated personal injury law firm is looking for a motivated Law Clerk for our Downtown Milwaukee, WI office. This is a great opportunity for a recent JD graduate looking to gain more experience!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Draft summons/complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings
• Legal Research
• Brief Writing
• Screening Potential Clients
• Trial Preparation
• Other duties as assigned by a litigation attorney

REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualified candidates will have a Juris Doctorate degree and are eligible or in the process of taking the Wisconsin Bar exam or licensed by the Wisconsin State Bar
• Demonstrated superior customer service skills
• Innovative problem resolution
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced/dynamic environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
