Hupy and Abraham S.C. is seeking a motivated Law Clerk for our West Des Moines or Davenport, IA offices. The role supports litigation attorneys with document production, legal research, and client screening.

Duties include drafting pleadings, researching case law, and trial preparation while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. The ideal candidate will hold a J.D. and be eligible for the Iowa Bar exam, with strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and be eligible or in the process of taking the Iowa Bar Exam or licensed by the Iowa State Bar.

Hupy and Abraham S.C., an AV-rated personal injury law firm, is looking for a motivated Law Clerk for our West Des Moines or Davenport office.

Our Law Clerks support our litigation attorneys with legal document production, legal case law research, and screening new client calls. Their duties include, but are not limited to the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Draft summons/complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings
• Legal Research
• Brief Writing
• Screening Potential Clients
• Trial Preparation
• Other duties as assigned by a litigation attorney

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified candidates must have earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and be eligible or in the process of taking the Iowa Bar Exam or licensed by the Iowa State Bar.
• Demonstrated superior customer service skills
