Job summary

The University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law is hiring a Career Coach to guide JD students toward meaningful employment opportunities and successful bar passage.

You will deliver individualized advising, develop targeted job-search plans, and support professional development across all three years of law school. You will work within the Career Development Office to assist graduating students and recent graduates with securing postgraduate employment and navigating diverse career paths in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
• 4 years’ of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized career advising to JD students across all years.
• Help students develop and carry out individualized employment plans and timelines.
• Review and provide substantive feedback on resumes, cover letters, writing samples, and professional bios.
• Conduct mock interviews and prepare students for various legal hiring processes.
• Advise on employment pathways in private practice, government, public interest, and other JD-advantage settings.
• Support on-campus interviewing, recruitment programs, and job fairs.
