Job summary

Anchor Fabrication in La Vergne, TN is seeking motivated Welders for a fast-paced, quality-centered shop on 2nd shift (2:30 pm–11:00 pm). Responsibilities include MIG/TIG welding, robot welding, aluminum work, reading blueprints, and using a tape measure; you will work with steel, stainless, and aluminum.

Safety and a clean workstation are essential. The role requires at least 1 year of welding experience, punctuality, and reliable performance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of welding experience
• Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance
• Previous experience in the industrial manufacturing industry is preferred

Responsibilities

• Welding (MIG/TIG) and robot welding
• Freehand-weld aluminum
• Weld with steel, stainless steel and aluminum
• Read and interpret blueprints and tape measurements
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow PPE and safety procedures
• Perform on-site weld testing as required

ANCHOR FABRICATION has immediate openings for highly motivated Welders seeking to work in a fast-paced, quality-centered environment.

2nd shift 2:30 pm- 11:00 pm must be able to work overtime as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Knowledge and understanding of weld symbols
• Welding (MIG/TIG)- Robot Welding
• Freehand-weld aluminum
• Steel, Stainless, and Aluminum
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to read blueprints
• How to use a large belt sander
• Responsible for continually maintaining a clean working environment
• Uses proper PPE and follows all safety procedures

Qualifications Minimum Requirements

Environment/Physical Requirements

This position is carried out in a weld shop environment and as such, has the following physical work requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to position the weld apparatus in any position the work requires
• Position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and chemicals

Physical weld testing on-site must be acceptable.
