ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  1. Loads and unloads dryers.
  2. Folds blankets, towels, linens, and personal items.
  3. Fills and delivers carts of cleansed and folded laundry to floors.
  4. Cleans lint filters on dryers.
  5. Attends and completes annual and as‑assigned in‑services.
  6. Treats all residents with dignity and respect. Promotes and protects all residents’ rights.
  7. Establishes a culture of compliance by adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
  8. Complies with standards of business conduct, as well as state/federal regulations and guidelines.
  9. Follows appropriate safety and hygiene measures at all times to protect residents and oneself.
  10. Maintains confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written, and electronic communications.
  11. Participates in all life safety and emergency drills and trainings. Fulfills responsibilities as assigned during implementation or activation of the facility’s emergency plans.
  12. Reports work‑related injuries and illnesses immediately to supervisor.
  13. Follows established infection control policies and procedures.
  14. As a condition of employment, completes all assigned trainings and skills competencies.
  15. Maintains work area(s) in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.
  16. Attends/completes annual and monthly in‑services and trainings as required.
OTHER DUTIES OF JOB:
  1. Promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication. Promotes positivity and active daily problem solving.
  2. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  3. Must not pose a threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the work place.
  4. Ability to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
  5. Attends meetings, trainings, seminars as required.
  6. Performs other tasks as necessary in the absence of other co‑workers.
  7. Reports noncompliance with policies, procedures, regulations, or breaches in confidentiality to appropriate personnel. Reports any retaliation or discrimination to HR or compliance officer.
  8. Reports any allegations of abuse, neglect, misappropriation of property, exploitation, or mistreatment of residents to appropriate persons.
  9. Protects residents from abuse, and cooperates with all investigations.
  10. Reports any occupational exposures to infectious materials and/or hazardous chemicals in accordance with facility policy.

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
