Job summary

Maple Knoll Village in Cincinnati, OH, is hiring a Full-time Laundry Worker to maintain clean linens and garments for residents in our skilled nursing facility. You will follow facility policies, support infection control, and help provide a safe, comfortable home-like environment for residents.

This role operates on a Full-time Day shift, 6:30am–2:30pm, with every other weekend and some holidays. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k) with matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of professional laundry experience.
• Ability to learn on the job and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Follow community policies for handling and transporting laundry.
• Comply with infection-control requirements and use PPE as needed.
• Establish and adhere to laundry schedules and assign duties.
• Sort, wash, and process laundry, recording weights as needed.
• Iron linens and clothing and label resident garments accurately.
• Manage linen inventory and report shortages to the supervisor.

In This Role You Will:

• Follow community’s policies and procedures for handling, storing, processing, and transporting linen and residents’ personal laundry.
• Complies with infection control requirements of the laundry and uses appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies, as necessary
• Establishes and adheres to laundry schedule to ensure adequate supply of clean laundry is available in all required areas. Assigns schedules/duties for laundry team members as appropriate.
• Sorts and loads laundry as designated.
• Washes linen, clothing and other items and records weights for each load.
• Irons linen and clothing
• Reads labels on personal laundry prior to washing
• Reports any damaged or lost clothing articles to the supervisor. Arranges for repairs and/or replacements, as necessary.
• Ensures residents’ garments are properly labeled and labels items, as appropriate.
• Manages inventory of linen supply and reports shortages to the supervisor
• Fulltime Day shift 6:30a- 2:30p, every other weekend and some holidays

Who You Are:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• The ability to acquire additional sufficient knowledge and learn new skills through on-the- job training and instructions to satisfactorily meet job performance requirements.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional laundry experience.
