Job summary

Maple Knoll Communities, Inc. is seeking a Laundry Worker at The Knolls of Oxford (A BHI Community) in Oxford, OH. You will ensure residents have clean linens and clothing, support infection control, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment.

The role offers part-time daytime hours (12p–8p), competitive wages, and benefits including health, 401K, and paid time off. Prior laundry experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of professional laundry experience.
  • Ability to learn on the job and follow instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and infection-control awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Follow policies for handling, storing, processing, and transporting laundry.
  • Comply with infection-control requirements and use PPE as needed.
  • Establish and adhere to laundry schedule; assign duties as appropriate.
  • Sorts and loads laundry as designated.
  • Washes linen, clothing and other items and records weights for each load.
  • Ironing of linen and clothing; read labels prior to washing.
  • Report damaged or lost items to supervisor and arrange repairs/replacements.
  • Ensure residents' garments are labeled and properly managed.
  • Manage inventory of linen supply and report shortages.
  • Work part-time daytime shift: 2 days per week; weekdays only.
  • Hours: 12p-8p.

In This Role You Will:
  • Follow community's policies and procedures for handling, storing, processing, and transporting linen and residents' personal laundry.
  • Complies with infection control requirements of the laundry and uses appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies, as necessary
  • Establishes and adheres to laundry schedule to ensure adequate supply of clean laundry is available in all required areas. Assigns schedules/duties for laundry team members as appropriate.
  • Sorts and loads laundry as designated.
  • Washes linen, clothing and other items and records weights for each load.
  • Irons linen and clothing
  • Reads labels on personal laundry prior to washing
  • Reports any damaged or lost clothing articles to the supervisor. Arranges for repairs and/or replacements, as necessary.
  • Ensures residents' garments are properly labeled and labels items, as appropriate.
  • Manages inventory of linen supply and reports shortages to the supervisor
  • Part-time Day shift, 2 days per week. No weekends, some holidays are required.
  • Hours: 12p-8p
Who You Are:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • The ability to acquire additional sufficient knowledge and learn new skills through on-the- job training and instructions to satisfactorily meet job performance requirements.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional laundry experience.
