Job summary

Grand Casino Mille Lacs & Hinckley is seeking a Laundry Associate to support Grindstone Laundry operations. You will operate washing machines, dryers and folding equipment, pre-sort linens, and assist in training at workstations to maximize production and maintain quality.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, or pass our Basic Skills Assessment; 6 months in a laundry or production environment is preferred. Be self-motivated, a team player, and able to lift 100+ pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or ability to pass our Basic Skills Assessment.
• 6 months previous commercial laundry or production environment experience preferred.
• Or successful completion of a related company approved development placement program.
• Good hand eye coordination, be self-motivated, a team player and have schedule flexibility.
• Must be able to pass company pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Operates washing machines, dryers, and folding machines in accordance with recommended capacity and other manufacturer's guidelines.
• Pre-sorts linens to locate and remove damaged items. Follows all policy and procedures with regard to handling lost and found items.
• Assists in training at workstations when needed and consistently pays attention to details of each workstation to ensure maximum production.
• Assists Grindstone Laundry Driver(s) in loading, unloading and weighing of the linens onto and off of trucks.
• Notifies Grindstone Laundry Technician Supervisor or Manager of incidents or conflicts that affect normal business operations or customer services.
