The Laundry Tech collects, sorts, transports, and distributes linens in alignment with established infection prevention practices and departmental workflows, helping ensure consistency and reliability across all service areas. Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, this position partners closely with clinical and support staff to ensure linens are available when and where they are needed. Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity are needed to operate machinery safely, read labels, and identify soil or damage on linens.Environmental Requirements:This position works in a hospital laundry environment with exposure to heat, humidity, moving mechanical equipment, and cleaning chemicals. The role may encounter soiled linens that could contain bodily fluids and requires strict adherence to infection prevention and PPE guidelines.
