## Laundry Tech### Category:Operations Openings### Department:Laundry### Description:**Laundry Tech*** Full TimeWe’re seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Technician to help maintain clean and sanitary linens throughout the medical center as well as distributing said linens to all departments that require them. Your work plays a vital role in patient safety, comfort, and infection control of Southwest Medical Center.What You’ll Do:* Communicate effectively with patients/family members and all care providers on the phone or in person* Respond rapidly to emergencies and pages* Pick up delivery linens for the appropriate departments* Ensure logs are up to date including dirty linen weight logs and appropriate labels for each department on linen carts* Interact with staff in a manner that promotes positive working relationships* Apply the mental effort required for attention to detail and consistent alertness in order to avoid accident or injury* Recognize clean and dirty environments, utilize appropriate cleaning methods and solutions to ensure a sanitary and attractive environment* Maintain and organize equipment after use (includes linen carts, washers, and dryers)* Take initiative with additional or unexpected tasks as neededQualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required### Job Location:On-Site### Closing:Open until filled
