Job summary

Hurawalhi Island Resort is seeking a dedicated Laundry Supervisor to oversee daily laundry operations and lead a team of attendants. You will ensure quality washing, drying, ironing, and folding of guest laundry, staff uniforms and linens with strict hygiene standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in laundry, supervisory experience, and strong leadership, with knowledge of detergents and equipment. Accommodation and meals are provided as part of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in laundry operations, hotel/resort preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of laundry equipment and chemicals.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment and manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the laundry department.
• Ensure proper washing, drying, ironing and folding of all items.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
• Monitor equipment and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Train and supervise laundry attendants for efficient workflow.
• Ensure safe use of detergents and chemicals per safety standards.
• Maintain records of inventory, chemicals and items.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to meet operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist in scheduling staff shifts and daily workload management.

Hurawalhi Island Resort is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the laundry department.

The 90-villa, adults-only luxury resort. You’re Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the laundry department.


• Ensure proper washing, drying, ironing, and folding of guest laundry, staff uniforms, and hotel linens.


• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all laundry items.


• Monitor laundry equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.


• Train, guide, and supervise laundry attendants to ensure efficient workflow.


• Ensure proper use of detergents, chemicals, and laundry equipment according to safety standards.


• Maintain accurate records of laundry items, chemicals, and inventory.


• Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to meet operational requirements.


• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.


• Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing daily workloads

Our Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a laundry operation, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.


• Previous supervisory experience in a similar role is preferred.


• Good knowledge of laundry operations, equipment, and chemicals.


• Strong organizational and leadership skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a team effectively.


• Good communication skills and attention to detail.


• Basic computer knowledge will be an advantage.


• Maldivian nationality preferred
