Job summary

APA Hotels Woodbridge is seeking a Laundry Attendant to operate commercial laundry equipment, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry. You will ensure clean, high-quality linens are available to support guest service.

Reporting to the housekeeping supervisor, you will follow safety procedures, handle chemicals, and maintain a tidy laundry room while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Previous hotel or commercial laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment.
• Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and fabric care.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, and separate soiled linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry.
• Operate washers, dryers, ironers, folders, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Apply detergents, chemicals, and stain-removal treatments per procedures.
• Fold, stack, and organize clean laundry for distribution.
• Deliver clean linens and uniforms to housekeeping and other departments.
• Monitor linen inventory and report shortages or damage.
• Inspect linens and uniforms for stains, tears, or wear.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and equipment.
• Follow OSHA, safety, and chemical handling procedures.
• Respond to guest laundry requests promptly while maintaining confidentiality.
• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management.
• Assist with other housekeeping or laundry duties as assigned.

Job description

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating commercial laundry equipment to wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry. This role helps ensure all departments have clean, high-quality linens and garments available to support exceptional guest service. Reporting to the housekeeping supervisor/manager, you will utilize your core skills in laundry operations to ensure all linens and terry are properly cleaned, ironed, and folded. We expect you to demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, contributing to a positive experience for our guests and supporting the overall efficiency of our team.

Requirements:Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including Holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required
