Job summary

Management & Training Corporation is hiring at the Texas Civil Commitment Center in Littlefield, TX for a laundry supervisor role. You will supervise staff and clients in the laundry, coordinate laundering schedules, and ensure proper equipment use and maintenance.

The position pays $17 per hour and runs Monday through Friday, 8-hour days. We seek career-minded professionals who can maintain records, oversee property and mail, and train staff in all laundry operations while complying with MTC

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED
• One (1) year experience in a laundry or supply related field preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise staff and clients assigned to the laundry.
• Receive and track client packages; plan laundering schedules.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment.
• Maintain records of laundry operations in compliance with directives.
• Process client property - incoming and outgoing.
• Maintain inventory of client property.
• Receive and track client mail and packages, including trips to the post office.
• Supervise operation of laundry equipment; perform routine maintenance.
• Conduct training programs in all phases of laundry operation.
• Requires long periods of walking, standing, pushing and pulling laundry carts, and lifting laundry bags up to 30 pounds.

Job responsibilities: You will directly supervise staff and clients assigned to the laundry. You'll also be responsible for receiving and tracking client packages, planning laundering schedules, proper use and maintenance of equipment and maintaining records of laundry operations in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Texas Civil Commitment Office (TCCO) directives.

Essential Functions

• Process client property - incoming and outgoing.


• Maintain inventory of client property.


• Receive and track client mail and packages to include going to the post office needed.


• Supervise operation of laundry equipment. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.


• Conduct training programs in all phases of laundry operation.


• Requires long periods of walking, Standing, pushing and pulling laundry carts, and lifting laundry bags which could weigh up to 30 pounds.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED


• One (1) year experience in a laundry or supply related field preferred.


• Supervisory experience preferred.


• Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
