Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Bluebonnet Detention Facility in Anson, TX. This role involves proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment and keeping records of laundry operations in line with MTC and customer directives.

You'll operate laundry equipment, perform maintenance, manage detainee supplies, control inventory, and supervise detainees assigned to laundry. Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least one year in institutional laundry, and a Texas

• One year of experience in institutional laundry operations.
• Must successfully complete required pre-service training.
• Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment and perform routine and preventive maintenance.
• Test wash formulas.
• Provide receipt, storage, repair and issue of detainee necessities, and implement inventory control procedures.
• Maintain related records and preparation for related reports.
• Direct the work of detainees assigned to assist in the laundry.
• Requires long periods of walking and standing.
• Requires pushing and pulling of laundry carts and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Schedule: Full-time, Tuesday - Saturday 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

What you\'ll do:

You\'ll be responsible for proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment and maintaining records of laundry operations in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.

Essential Functions

• Operate laundry equipment. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Perform tests on wash formulas.

• Requires the pushing and pulling of laundry carts and lifting of laundry bags full of laundry which could weigh up to 30 lbs.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience in institutional laundry operations, including experience in the following areas: receiving, inventory and shipping of supplies required.
• Must successfully complete required pre-service training.
• Valid driver\'s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
