Job summary

Division Laundry and Cleaning, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Sorter for the day shift (5am–1:30pm). The Sorter will sort incoming soiled laundry from healthcare and hospitality facilities, preparing items for the cleaning process with a focus on safety and accuracy.

You will work as part of a team on elevated platforms, handling conveyors, sorting by type, and rotating shifts as production needs dictate. This position requires physical stamina and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Detail-oriented with quality focus.
• Must manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing needs.
• Works well in a team and communicates effectively.
• Willing to rotate shifts and work day or night as production requires.
• Able to lift and move heavy items, up to 250 pounds.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Push carts to holding area by customer account.
• Position cart on floor-located scale to note bag weight.
• Sort linen by hand to identify and separate by type.
• Operate linen cart dumper to unload bags of linen onto conveyor.
• Manually open bags containing soiled linen.
• Pick up and place linen in the appropriate bins.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Perform job rotation as required.
