Job summary

Rosen Hotels & Resorts in Orlando is seeking a full-time Laundry Associate to support the laundry island, prep linen for guest rooms, banquets, and restaurants. You will operate washers, dryers, ironers, and folding equipment to ensure timely, high-quality linen supplies for the property.

Responsibilities include inspecting items, moving linen between stations, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while meeting production standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a hot environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Legal work status in the USA.

Description

Summary:

The Laundry Services Folder operates the laundry processing equipment. They are responsible for preparing the property's linen supplies for the guest rooms, banquet departments, and restaurants on time while minimizing discarded linens.

Responsibilities:

• Operates the machine by feeding properly and maintaining the quality and the required feed rate of the machine.


• Inspects linens while processing through the machine to ensure that items meet quality standards.


• Operates the towel machine by feeding towels into the machine for separation and folding.


• Hand-folds washed clothes and other laundry items.


• Catchers must be able to move linen and/or terry for multiple stations.


• Operates ironers; enters proper settings, feeds the ironer for separation and pressing.


• Keeps work area organized and clean- free of lint.


• Identifies torn and stained items and sorts them into proper containers.


• Maintains a production goal of 85% based on production standards set for feeders.


• Participates in pre-shift stretching warm-ups.


• Complies with the company’s drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.


• All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Ability to stand for the entire shift.


• Ability to work in a hot environment.


• Must be able to push and/or pull laundry bins weighing 50 lbs. to 500 lbs. when loaded with linen.


• Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. infrequently.


• Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
