Job summary

Apache Junction Health Center is seeking a detail‑oriented laundry/housekeeping helper to support resident care by ensuring clean linens and sanitary facilities. The role includes organizing supplies, processing laundry, and delivering items to patient rooms.

Candidates should have a GED or high school diploma, basic math and reading skills, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance is required.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma is required or preferred.
• 1 year of experience in laundry/housekeeping is preferred.
• AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card will be required.

Responsibilities

• Make available clean linen for residents.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove stained items.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident clothing items as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary processes and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment safely and report issues.

Job description

General Purpose

Performs a variety of general laundry and housekeeping/cleaning duties to provide quality laundry service and to maintain the nursing home in a sanitary manner, and free from offensive orders.

Essential Duties

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident's clothing items as needed
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties Maintain inventory of laundry supplies
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator

Supervisory Requirements

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Qualification

Education and/or Experience

GED or High School Diploma

1 year of experience preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card will be required.
