Job summary

Apache Junction Health Center is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to support daily resident care by managing linen supply, cleaning and housekeeping duties in a nursing home setting.

You will collect, sort, wash, dry and deliver clean linens, ensure equipment safety, and follow sanitary procedures. The role requires attention to detail, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and basic math for inventory.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident's clothing items as needed.
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.

Qualification

Education and/or Experience

GED or High School Diploma

1 year of experience preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card will be required.
