Job summary

PACS Group in the United States is seeking a General Laundry and Housekeeping Associate to ensure a clean, sanitary environment for residents. You will manage linen, sort and launder clothing, and deliver items to rooms while maintaining supplies and following safety procedures.

GED or High School Diploma preferred; 1 year experience is an advantage. AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required. This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma, 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow laundry/housekeeping directions.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for all residents.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove stained items.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident clothing items as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary procedures for laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.

Job description

General Purpose Performs a variety of general laundry and housekeeping/cleaning duties to provide quality laundry service and to maintain the nursing home in a sanitary manner, and free from offensive orders.

Essential Duties

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies

Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner. Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator

Supervisory Requirements

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Qualification
