Job summary

GEO Secured Services is seeking a Laundry Supervisor to oversee the facility laundry area, including receiving, cleaning, and distributing laundry. The role involves supervising detainee workers in a secure environment and maintaining daily operations in a busy laundry facility.

The successful candidate will have at least a high school diploma, 2 years of laundry experience, and strong leadership skills to manage staff and ensure safety and efficiency in all laundry processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of laundry experience in a large setting is preferred, with a lead-worker background.
• Knowledge of laundry equipment operation, safety, and sanitation.
• Ability to motivate and lead teams and work with detainees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pickup, sorting, and distribution of laundry to detainees.
• Maintain security and safety in the laundry area and supervise inmate workers.
• Complete maintenance inspections, shift reports, inventories, and cost-per-load documentation.
• Inspect industrial washers/dryers and ensure supplies are stocked and organized.
• Provide staff with up-to-date warehouse item lists and ensure proper housekeeping.
