Job summary

GEO Secured Services is seeking a Laundry Officer to manage facility laundry operations and supervise staff. Responsibilities include operating industrial washers/dryers, adjusting equipment, maintaining safety standards, and reporting issues to the Control Center.

The role requires handling chemicals safely and maintaining inventory of apparel and supplies. The position emphasizes physical endurance, teamwork, and adherence to facility procedures, with a focus on keeping the laundry area secure

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience operating industrial laundry machinery preferred.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and performing manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily usage of industrial washers and dryers.
• Adjust valves, switches, and levers to operate laundry equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Re-issue and exchange worn-out clothing as needed.
• Maintain inventory of clothing, blankets, and uniforms.
• Count and secure tools; ensure chemical safety and ACA compliance.
• Support cleanliness and security of the laundry area.
