Job description

We’re looking for individuals who are committed to making an experience memorable, all while having fun and relishing in the incredible atmosphere of our Resort.

The Laundry Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising laundry, dry cleaning, and the uniform room. Coaching and training staff on proper operation standards. Responsible for maintaining clean linens, uniforms, and laundry. Overseeing purchases of linens and uniforms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Complete weekly work schedules.
  2. Complete weekly payroll reports/daily reports.
  3. Monthly poundage report. Complete monthly inventories.
  4. Assist in yearly budgeting plan.
  5. Purchase linen as needed.
  6. Coach and train laundry, dry cleaning, and uniform staff.
  7. Discussion with vendors to maintain equipment and chemicals to provide clean and fresh laundry.
  8. Discussion with laundry engineer on equipment to maintain proper working order.
  9. Work with purchasing and accounting to ensure shipment and payment of all supplies.
  10. Maintain proper amounts of clean linen and uniforms.
  11. Maintain budget while efficiently operating a safe and productive laundry, dry cleaning, and uniform room.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  1. Previous management experience (Manager, Housekeeping, Dry Cleaning).
  2. Background in both housekeeping and laundry.
  3. Some knowledge of dry cleaning and linen par levels, as well as inventory ordering.
  4. Must be able to stand for 65% of scheduled shift.
  5. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  6. Must be able to speak English.
