Job summary

LAUKOA in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Laundry Porter to maintain laundry standards at the FLETC campus. You will transport, load, wash, dry, and fold linen, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery to dorms while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

The role requires 1–2 years of laundry experience, knowledge of chemicals and equipment safety, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and a valid driver's license for potential vehicle operation.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in commercial or institutional laundry services.
• Knowledge of laundry chemicals and equipment safety procedures.
• Able to lift bags of laundry and operate heavy machinery.
• Physically capable of repetitive motion, standing, and lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Must meet DHS background and suitability clearance.

Responsibilities

• Remove linens from dorms and transport to laundry facility.
• Restock dorms with clean linens from the laundry.
• Wash, dry, and fold laundry daily.
• Load and unload washers and dryers with correct settings.
• Carry linens and supplies up 3–5 flights of stairs as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area and truck exterior.
