Job summary

Dept of Veterans Services seeks a Laundry Worker to process residents' clothing and linens with care. Duties include washing, drying, identifying items, reporting losses, and assisting with linen inventory and delivery in a respectful care environment.

Responsibilities also cover labeling, folding accessories, maintaining clean Linen Rooms, and upholding sanitary standards to prevent infection across the facility.

Qualifications

• Understanding of standard procedures used in laundry services for residents and in caring for clothes, linens, equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Wash and dry residents' clothes, return them promptly to owners, identify items, and report losses and damages of laundry.
• May be assigned to inventory and deliver linens.
• May be assigned to fold clothing protectors and maintain unit quotas.
• May be assigned to label clothing and other items and maintain the donation closet.
• Maintain the facility area in a clean and attractive appearance; promote sanitary conditions to prevent infection.
