Job summary

Vestis in Wisconsin is seeking a team-oriented associate to operate within an industrial laundry facility. You will help process merchandise safely and accurately, following the garment numbering system and shipping schedules.

You will move garments from supply rails to conveyors, sort by route, hang items in batches, monitor for wrinkles, report quality issues, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Some overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with garment numbering system and shipping schedule board.
• Follow shipping schedule and routes for sort areas.
• Move garments from supply rail to conveyors by route or sort.
• Hang shirts by route, then pants by batch.
• Sort odd garments to correct space on the garment bars.
• Inform supervisor of any quality, mechanical, or schedule problems.
• Watch end of supply bars for falling garments and re-hang as needed.
• Stop the line when jams or problems occur and for breaks.
• Monitor wrinkles and remove garments not meeting quality standards.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and observe production practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
