Job summary

Vestis® operates a large industrial laundry facility where you will handle merchandise expeditiously and accurately. The role involves following a garment routing system, sorting by route, and ensuring quality control on each batch.

You will work in a warehouse setting with potential weekends and overtime, performing repetitive motions, standing for long periods, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. A high school degree is preferred and Vestis offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand all required training, written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Becomes familiar with the garment numbering system (GID) and shipping schedule board.
• Follows a shipping schedule and sorts garments by route and batch.
• Moves garments to conveyors or hooks according to route and sort.
• Hangs shirts by route, then pants, batch by batch.
• Separates odd garments and places them correctly.
• Reports quality or scheduling issues to supervisor.
• Monitors for wrinkles and removes nonconforming garments.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
