Job summary

Vestis Corporation in Appleton, WI is seeking a Warehouse/Laundry Operations Associate to support the safe, expeditious handling of merchandise in our laundry facility.

You will learn garment numbering, follow shipping schedules, sort items by route, and assist in maintaining quality standards while keeping a clean, safe work environment. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required as part of production needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Becomes familiar with the garment numbering system (GID) and shipping schedule board.
• Follows a shipping schedule and sorts garments into routes for specific sort areas.
• Removes garments from supply rail and places on conveyors or hooks by route/number.
• Hangs shirts and pants by route and batch order.
• Notifies supervisor of quality, mechanical, or shipping issues.
• Monitors for wrinkles and rejects items not meeting quality standards.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment; performs other duties as assigned.
