Job summary

Valor Hospitality is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to process soiled linen and distribute clean linen following standard operating procedures. This role supports hotel operations and guest satisfaction across US properties.

You will receive, sort and weigh soiled linen, operate washers and dryers, sheet spreaders and ironers, ensuring finished items meet quality standards in a clean, safe area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; no formal experience required.
• Ability to recognize and work with numbers; operate laundry equipment.
• Communicate information clearly to guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Process soiled linen and distribute clean linen according to SOPs.
• Receive, sort and weigh soiled linen; use washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers.
• Turn in found articles to Supervisor; handle guest requests and complaints.
• Report equipment issues and notify supplies; maintain a clean, safe area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

The Role

POSITION PROFILE Process soiled linen and distribute clean linen in accordance with standard operating procedures in a safe, accident-free manner, as assigned by management. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES Receive, sort and weigh soiled linen; place into appropriate containers. Process sorted linen utilizing the washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeder/folders ensuring finished- product is inspected and meets quality standards. Turn in all articles found in Laundry Chute/Department to the Supervisor to log in Lost and Found. Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints as they may arise to achieve guest satisfaction. Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment, or mechanical problems to the Supervisor. Notify supervisor of supplies needed, damaged linens or hazards to the department to ensure laundry operation is running at maximum efficiency level. Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition. Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times. Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Some High school diploma or equivalent experience No formal experience required for the position Ability to recognize and work with numbers. Operate industrial laundry equipment. Communicate information, respond to question, and provide directions and hotel services to guests, vendors, staff member and management.
