Responsibilities

• Inspect linens for cleanliness and quality before storage or delivery.

JobSummary:

The LaundryAttendant is responsible for ensuring that all hotel linens, towels, and guestlaundry are cleaned, pressed, and folded to the highest standards. This roleinvolves operating laundry equipment, maintaining cleanliness in the laundryarea, and ensuring timely delivery of clean items to the housekeeping team andguests.

KeyResponsibilities

Laundry Operations

• oSort,wash, dry, fold, and press linens, towels, and guest laundry according to hotelstandards.
• oOperatewashers, dryers, ironing machines, and other laundry equipment safely andefficiently.
• oMonitorthe washing process to ensure proper cleaning, including the correct use ofdetergents and chemicals.
• oHandlestained or damaged items according to established procedures, ensuring they aretreated or reported as necessary.

Quality Control

• oInspectall linens and towels for cleanliness and quality before folding and storing.
• oEnsurethat all laundered items are free of stains, tears, or damage before returningthem to service.
• oMaintainhigh standards of cleanliness and organization in the laundry area at alltimes.
• oEnsurelaundry is folded neatly and stored in designated areas or delivered toappropriate departments.

Inventory and SupplyManagement

• oMonitorlaundry supplies, such as detergent, bleach, fabric softener, and othercleaning products, and notify the supervisor when inventory is low.
• oEnsureproper storage and handling of all chemicals and laundry supplies in compliancewith safety guidelines.
• oTrackand report any discrepancies in linen and towel inventory to the HousekeepingSupervisor.

Guest Service

• oHandleguest laundry requests with care, ensuring timely and accurate processingoflaundry items.
• oProvideprofessional and courteous service when interacting with guests, addressingtheir laundry needs and inquiries.
• oEnsurethat guest laundry is returned promptly, neatly folded or pressed, and inexcellent condition.

Maintenance and Safety

• oRegularlyclean and maintain laundry equipment, ensuring it is in good working order andreporting any malfunctions to maintenance.
• oFollowall safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and safeoperation of laundry equipment.
• oMaintaina clean and safe work environment by regularly cleaning the laundry area anddisposing of waste properly.
• oAdhereto hotel policies regarding the handling and storage of linens, towels, andguest laundry.

Otherduties as assigned to meet the needs of the property.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma orequivalent.
• Previous experience in alaundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate laundryequipment and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Strong attention to detailand commitment to high standards of cleanliness and quality.
• Good organizational skillsand the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to workindependently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift,push, pull, and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extendedperiods.

WorkingConditions:
