Job summary

Tru by Hilton Raleigh-Durham in Morrisville, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to operate commercial laundry equipment, sort and pre-treat linens, load machines, and ensure quality control.

Responsibilities

• Operate washers, dryers, and ironing machines following safety guidelines.
• Sort and pre-treat soiled linens and garments for washing.
• Load and unload machines with proper capacity distribution.
• Monitor cycles and adjust settings for thorough cleaning and drying.
• Inspect items for quality, removing damaged or stained pieces.
• Fold and store clean linens according to hotel procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Restock linens in guest areas as needed.
• Monitor inventory and request replenishment of supplies.
• Follow safety guidelines for chemicals and PPE.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Assist with other housekeeping or laundry tasks as required.

Salary Range: $15.00 To $16.00 Hourly

What You’ll Do:

• Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines, according to safety guidelines and procedures.
• Sort and pre-treat soiled linens and garments to remove stains and prepare them for washing.
• Load and unload laundry machines, ensuring proper capacity and distribution.
• Monitor laundry cycles and adjust settings to ensure thorough cleaning and drying.
• Inspect laundered items for quality control, removing damaged or stained items.
• Fold and stack clean linens and garments, following hotel procedures for storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room, including regular cleaning of machines and surfaces.
• Restock linens in guest areas as necessary.
• Monitor inventory levels and request replenishment of laundry supplies.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
• Report maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors or Engineering.
• Assist with other housekeeping or laundry-related tasks as required.

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
